Please send resume to bas...@boston-technology.com *Position: *Cognos, Administrator *Location: *Dallas, TX *Duration: *6+ month He will build and enhance applications based on Oracle and data mining tools. In this role you will act to develop and maintain a centralized data warehouse while working with end users to perform various levels of data mining. For the purpose of data mining you will use several tools with primary focus on Cognos as a reporting tool. You will also be responsible for designing and enhancing presentation and mining methods used to understand the large amounts of data from our systems. *Responsibilities:* · Design, implement and maintain database and reporting solutions. · Work with other application developers in the group to develop analytic tools. · Provide database support to other teams which develop tools based on the warehouse. · Develop, and maintain automation of administration and maintenance tasks on database and reporting systems. · Balance data mining projects with design and development. *Requirements:* · Bachelor’s degree in Computer science or related field. · At least 3 years of experience in design and development of data-mining applications · Experienced in database design for high volume applications. · 2 years of demonstrable relational database skills including advanced SQL programming and data analysis. · Experience working with Oracle 10g/11g. · At least 1 year of experience in writing framework models and reports using Cognos (8.2 or higher) is strongly desirable. · Experience with one or more of the following: Shell scripting, Perl, PHP, Java. · Participated in full implementation life-cycle for delivery of data analysis solutions (analyze, design, build, test, implement, support).
