Consequently, ODFW resource management operations are extremely broad and complex, and rely on information from a number of sources. ODFW has no agency-wide information management framework, and instead relies on individuals or programs to organize, retain, and disseminate information appropriately. This lack of a framework results in significant information inefficiencies, inconsistencies, inaccessibility, ignorance, and loss. To address the need, ODFW wants to create a corporate resource information management system called “4d-OR” that is extensible and scalable, as well as functional, useful, comprehensive, consistent, accessible, and institutionally integrated into ODFW operations. ODFW is seeking an Application Systems Analyst IV to architect and develop components of the 4d-OR system, implementing requirements defined by the Project Leads. This person will also direct the development activities of other developer(s) working on this project. This challenging yet rewarding position will be located in the beautiful capitol city of Salem, OR and last 3 – 6 months. Below is a specific statement of work and the skill set we are seeking: Architects, designs, reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging and installing to support an organization's application systems. Consults with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives. May be expected to write documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, and corrections. Writes manuals for users to describe installation and operating procedures. Requires a bachelor's degree in a related area and at least 8 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Must have a working knowledge of distributed information systems, relational databases, client-server concepts, and web site development with responsive frameworks. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
