*VB.NET Developer* *Location –* Columbus, OH * * *Duration* – 8+ Months *Rate/hr* – $47/hr on C2C *Interview* - Phone + In Person *Previous experience converting VB6 to VB.Net is ideal.* *Duties and Responsibilities: * · Develop, test, implement and document new VB.NET application · Convert existing VB 6.0 application to VB.NET · Adhere to standards of application systems analysis, programming, and procedures and participate in code review process · Adhere to policies and procedures for modifying information systems · Coordinate with technology partners including internal employees, consultants, and vendors * * *Required experience/skill set:* · 3 Years of application development experience dealing with large data volumes (60 - 80 million records) · 3 Years of experience in VB 6 and VB.NET · Experience designing and implementing N-Tier applications using .NET frameworks 2.0 and/or 3.5 · Experience creating and consuming web Services in .NET · Experience designing and implementing WINForms applications utilizing VB.NET · Experience with Oracle DBMS · Solid understanding of SQL and relational database concepts and design principles · Expertise in Visual Studio 2005 or 2008 with integrated source control solutions like VSS or Subversion · Ability to apply Object-Oriented design principles to create extensible, maintainable applications · Strong interpersonal and excellent communication skills · Ability to adapt to change * * *Preferred experience:* · Previous experience working with retail clients · Previous experience with JDA applications *** Candidate MUST be able to pass a background screen.
