Sr. QA Tester Schaumburg, IL location on a contract basis with the potential to go full time.
Rate- 40 Client- Motorola 6 month contract This resource will be working within the Public Safety Systems division working within the Engineering team. The Sr. QA Tester will be joining a team of testers and developers, and will be responsible for spearheading automation testing efforts. *Responsibilities:* - Develop automated scripts based on features of applications, record user interactions to create automated scripts. Create/Edit automated scripts using tools such as Microsoft Visual Studio - Collaborates with QA analysts to identify functions and features that require test automation. Develop and implement best practices for test automation. - Analyzes test results for accuracy and compliance. Finds root cause of problems and recognizes recurring issues; resolves, or contributes to the resolution process. - Manages acceptance criteria utilizing tools such as TFS / Visual Studio / Spec Flow. Maintains documentation, user accounts and test data used by the team. - Records and maintains source control of automation scripts. - Coordinates efforts with software engineers to identify performance opportunities, as well as to ensure testability issues are addressed during design lifecycle. - Develops new and refines existing QA processes, tools, and testing infrastructure to enhance quality and productivity. - Creates automated testing harness for application utilizing tools such as Rest API. - Logs bugs / issues with appropriate detail Review bugs and set the appropriate severity level. *Required:* - 2+ years of experience in a structured software testing environment for web based applications, one of which is related to functional and performance automation - Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio - Experience with automation using coded UI - Knowledge of C# coding and .NET technologies , proficiency with databases, writing SQL queries *Nice to have:* - Knowledge of Spec Flow - Proven ability to work with wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services (experience with Microsoft Azure preferred) Knowledge of JSON and other services concepts *Waiting for your response…* Best Regards *Ravi Nigam* 978-558-4666 EXT 101 *TekNavigators* 8875 Hidden River Parkway Suite 300 Tampa, FL 33637 DISCLAIMER: This message and any attachments are solely for the use of the individual or entity to which it is addressed and may contain information that is privileged or confidential.
