Location: Charlotte, NC 6 month (+) Contract Job Description: This person will be responsible for the (C Sharp dot net) development, Client Server and Intranet Web applications within the Technology group. The candidate will be heavily involved in the multiple applications that provide support to a wide range of products such as: Residential Mortgage (i.e. ARM, Fixed, HELOC, CES, etc.), corporate loans, commercial loans, reverse repo with the various underlying collateral (such as Residential mortgages, MBS, RMBS, CMBS Securities and etc.), Auto Loans, Credit Card Receivables, Student Loans, Loan Servicing, Loan Pricing and Securitization. The successful candidate must be a team player capable of working with a diverse group, front office, middle office, IT support groups and various wholesale ops groups. Working knowledge with GL accounting methodology or GL systems will be a strong plus. Requirements: • Must have strong skills in the following: VB6, .Net Framework 3.5 (VB/C#), XML, SQL 2000 and 2005, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) )and SQL Reporting Service 2005 is plus. • Knowledge of multi-threading and asynchronous messaging work flows is a strong PLUS. • Experience in the full software development lifecycle. • Proactive team player with a *can-do* attitude. • Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills. • Experience working with Bloomberg, Markit and other external market data providers is also plus. • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Analytical problem solving skills. Attention to detail and thoroughness a must. Willing to automate existing manual tasks performed by the business users. Will also be called upon to generate ad hoc reports and create & submit scripts for any data changes with quick turnaround times. BS in Computer Science or related field. 5+ years working experience, preferably in Capital Markets.
