Role: Sr. SQL Developer Location: Glen Burnie, MD Duration: 8+ months. GC and USC only. *Job Summary:* This is a SQL development job to support the data conversion effort for our HEALTH suite implementation. This person will work with the data conversion team to develop the conversion file and assist in data analysis, data mapping and requirements gathering as necessary. Would be responsible for creating processes to load source data into a staging area, data transformation (clean up, consolidate, normalize data across multiple systems) and create the final conversion ready file. Would also research and resolve conversion errors in coordination with the Data Conversion Lead. Could work with the functional teams to help define or update business rules around data extraction and transformation. ? Good mix of business and technical analytical skills ? May need to independently assess impacts to conversion work within the overall scope of the project. Individual may need to interface with other resources on the project to plan and coordinate work. ? Hands on SQL development ? creating tables, writing stored procedures, knowledge of functions used in data manipulations, etc. ? Extract data from source system data warehouse and transform to match target system. ? Can work with file layouts specifications, data dictionaries and entity relationship diagrams *Skills:* ? Excellent SQL Developer skills ? High Mid to Senior level resource, preferably with Microsoft tool experience ? Healthcare Experience highly desirable ? Providers, Membership, Claims ? Strong business analytical skills ? Strong data analytical skills ? Prior data conversion experience a big plus - ideally has worked to convert data from one system to another ? Self-starter and independent worker. Able to research issues and suggest solutions based on appropriate guidance.
