Technical Writer Location: NYC Duration: 6-12 months Work Week: 35 hours. Need 2 references. Technical Writer will be responsible for planning, organizing, writing and editing technical design and architectural documents for existing and new hardware and software. In this position, the candidate as a self-starter will work with various internal teams including Software Developers, Subject Matter Experts, Business Analysts and Project Managers to document user and system requirement, settings, architectural diagrams and other technical documentation necessary for our systems. The created documents are not intended as training manual for the general users, but as a system documents necessary to build and enhance the system without jeopardizing any critical functions. Duties include explaining technical ideas in simple language; creating/modifying technical documentation, including architectural guides, settings and manuals; working directly with software developers, testers, team members, and business users to produce quality material that meets industry standards; assisting QA team with test case creation and product testing when needed; ensuring technical verbiage is easy to understand by the layperson; write clear and concise policies and procedures.
