The solution will involve: 1. Both custom development and packaged solution integration 2. Traditional information technology, business process modeling, and business intelligence domains 3. Internal users and a variety access by external constituents through multiple technology channels 4. Online and batch functionality 5. User interface and messaging based components 6. Standards / best practice based architecture and design BCBSM is seeking expertise to lead major work tracks within the project. * * *Track lead requirements include the following:* 1. Self starters that can take loosely defined assignments and drive them to structured work. 2. Proven ability to drive from very high level concepts to a detailed understanding of business problems. 3. Ability to conceptualize business and technical solutions. Ability to articulate ideas clearly and concisely. 4. Strong background (minimum 10-15 years experience) in architecting & designing complex solutions, including *java architecture, data * *modeling architecture, and bpm concepts.* 5. Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills 6. Must be a *competent modeler*, proficient with UML. Must be proficient with design patterns and have the ability to apply them. Must be able to communicate complex ideas through simple pictures to a wide variety of audiences. 7. Proven ability to keep the big picture in mind while driving detailed work. 8. Be comfortable getting hands-on in technical solutions when needed. Examples vary by skill set of candidate, but expectations include items such as coding a complex components, debugging a problem component of the system, tuning an environment, or writing queries, or generating ad hoc reports. 9. Be equally comfortable working with executives and hands on development teams. 10. Proven ability to lead thoroughly debated fact based decision making 11. Minimum 10-15 years experience working with a broad range of technologies. Specific technologies in solution set include *IBM WebSphere middleware, Oracle databases, Informatica ETL tools, Reporting solutions*. Also helpful: Lombardi BPM tools, *DataPower appliances, Ingenix Impact Intelligence for Payers*. 12. Capable of defining and creating a variety of standard IT project deliverables throughout all project lifecycle phases. 13. Comfortable in an agile, iterative, highly dynamic project environment. Effective at planning and driving work in an adaptive way. 14. Experience in selecting and developing strong multi-vendor teams 15. 10+ years of IT experience and computer science / computer information systems bachelors degree. 16.
