Contract Length: 18 Months


*Minimum Requirements:*

·         5 years experience: Unix System Administration

·         3 years experience: Linux System Administration

·         4 years experience: Ability to interact and communicate well with
functional and technical team leads

·         4 years experience: Working knowledge of software development
methodologies, testing, design and implementations

·         4 years experience: Strong planning skills with proven track
record of System Administration and problem resolution

·         2 years experience: Knowledge of data warehouse environments

·         2 years experience: Experience supporting DB2 LUW in an IBM Data
Warehouse Environment.

*Description*

Worker shall perform highly complex System Administrative support functions
within Unix and Linux Server environments.    Work involves providing System
administration support activities with software maintenance implementations,
new production implementations, customer configurations and implementations,
security enhancements and support, and performance assessment and support
functions.  Worker reviews information systems requirements to provide
designs, architecture, and implementation and maintenance plans for the Unix
and Linux Server environments.  They will perform project management
functions with assigned activities.  They will provide day-to-day
operational support.

Worker will communicate both verbally and in writing with various project
stakeholders, management, other relevant parties within the agency, the
project status and risks as well as any outstanding issues and
recommendations for resolving those issues which could not be resolved at
the project team level.

Works under supervision of the Manager of Infrastructure Services and
Technical SME's with latitude for the use of initiative and independent
judgment.

*Worker Skills and Qualifications (required)*

·         Actively participate in weekly management review sessions.

·         Work closely with technical lead, PM, developers and subject
matter experts.

·         Follow the standard CPA guidelines and procedures.

·         Communicate effectively and correctly in writing and verbally on a
variety of business matters as required.

·         Write detailed technical specifications

·         Interpret program operating codes

·         Document coding, configurations, and installation procedures

·         Communicate effectively and correctly in writing and verbally on a
variety of business matters as required

·         Performs other duties as assigned
