client’s in *NYC*
*Job Title *
*Business Analyst with Pension Experience or Financial*
*Summary *
Senior Business Analyst reporting to the Business Solutions Group Deputy
Director of Operations. The candidate will be responsible for CQI/BPR
initiatives, solution development, business/systems analysis, and
coordination of strategic initiatives; will analyze the product/service
that s/he is accountable for and make recommendations to enable realization
of specific business outcomes.
*Required Skills*
• A minimum of five years’ experience that demonstrates
progressively increasing responsibilities in business/systems solution
implementation
• Subject matter expertise in Continuous Process
Improvement/Business Process Reengineering
• Domain knowledge of Financial Services and Investment Services
• “Out of the box” thinker, able to design and develop creative and
innovative business solutions
• Subject matter expertise in business/systems analysis
• Subject matter expertise in issue management
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
• Ability to work in a self-motivated, self-directed manner within
broad parameters
• Ability to successfully question the “Status Quo”
• Excellent understanding of system development life cycle and
system architecture principles
• Understanding of Pension Administration operations and systems is
a plus
• Experience in CQI / BPR project execution and management
• Experience in project management methodologies and techniques
• Experience working in Agile development environment
• Experience in the Investment and Financial Services industry
• Experience in Pension Administration industry is a plus
*Responsibilities*
• Lead the business areas through Continued Quality
Improvement/Business Process Reengineering initiatives.
• Facilitate working sessions with the business and other key
stakeholders to examine current process flows and make recommendations for
changes.
• Prepare accurate and detailed process models such as “As Is” and
“To Be” using BPM tools and techniques.
• Manage, coordinate and/or participate in strategic initiatives:
Strategic Planning Support
Business Issue Prioritization Management
Solution Development
Business Case Development
Project Management
Business Analysis
Business Requirements Documentation
• Track and report on initiative status and progress.
• Participate in an agile software development methodology.
