*Position: Mid-Level PL/SQL Developer w/BI Reports exp.* *Location: NY, NY* *Duration: 4++ months* BridgePoint Consulting a global IT Consultancy & Talent Acquisition Practice located in Portsmouth, NH is seeking a Mid-Level PL/SQL Developer w/BI Reports experience for a 4+ month project in New York, NY. The selected candidate will work in the Business Intelligence group building and testing report interfaces for external clients. Reports will be developed using Perl, SQL, & PL/SQL. This job requires interfacing with the BI business analyst, the ability to work with other developers and DBA's and requires a high level of accuracy, timeliness and insightful analysis. *PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES* Ability to program in Perl, SQL, PL SQL Ability to model custom reporting from standard reporting baseline Analyzes and designs data solutions Read, interrogate and develop to requirements documentation Strong organization, time manage skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks/projects in a dynamic environment Perform Unit testing data analysis and be able to communicate nuance of data and help in the understanding of data Act as a solution-driven developer to understand changing business needs and direction and ensure that the tools and data structures will meet those needs Optimize data structures through table analysis and review of queries Work to build a robust reporting architecture that can be configured to run for specific programs without modifying the base code. Ability to QA reports to ensure they fulfill the requirements and align with other external reports *EXPERIENCE REQUIRED* Have demonstrable experience in Business Intelligence reporting and platforms 5 - 7+ years of experience in programming and data and/or statistical analysis required A minimum of 3 years of relational database experience in, but not limited to Oracle 8 ' 11g, SQL Server 2000 and MS Access. Vertica or other VLDB experience a plus. Testing and implementation of technology solutions (applications, data warehousing, business intelligence, etc.) Linux, Unix and Windows environments a must. Proficiency in Excel using pivot tables, v-lookup Create and maintain quality documentation for technical and non-technical staff Ability to create functional/technical specifications Strong verbal and written communications skills. Strong analytical, creative and problem-solving skills Experience with analysis and troubleshooting data anomalies Skills Required: Unix/Linux, Perl, Sql Server, Oracle, PLSQL and shell scripting.
