*Job Title : Mainframe QA Testers
Location : Chicago, IL
Duration : 6+ Months*

Client is looking for (2) Senior Level Manual Testers for coordination and
execution of all quality assurance testing activities related to projects
underway. Tester(s) will have to determine the application landscape;
understand existing test bed (if any), understand the new requirements and
specifications Determine complete scope, complexity and size of testing
effort, possibly assign work out to subordinate testers, develop and execute
test cases. Ensure compliance with testing best practices and standards;
report on QA status to the project team and upper management.
*Minimum Requirements: *
- 5 to 7 years experience in the software QA and/or Development, with
experience working on 3 or more projects from requirements inception to
product release.
- 4 + years experience of Mainframe Development and/or Testing experience
REQUIRED, with the following focus: JCL, DB2, Fileaid, VSAM, TSO
- Proven success in testing large scale, multi-tiered, integrated
systems.
- Strong understanding of Oracle, DB2, SQL Server databases and
constructing/executing SQL queries Experience with Data Migration Testing,
ETL and/or Data Warehouse testing Experience with Windows and UNIX (Sun
Solaris/HP/Linux) server navigation
- Experience running batch commands, scheduled jobs, and reviewing
output, logs, etc. on each platform
- Any experience with Automated Test Tools (Mercury Test Management tools
(Quality Center, Test Director) and ClearQuest Defect Tracking tool, or
similar defect tracking tools is a definite plus.
