1. Configuration Management Activities
a. Day to Day Management of configuration change requests for QA Test
Environments.
i. Assist and create deployment plans to deploying changes using a
planned and managed approach.
b. Design, create and test configuration management scripting for
automating deployment activities.
c. Build Management
i. Provides source code control changes, as well as managing baseline
of software libraries.
ii. Assist in the definition and creation of build management
processes
1. Learn CM toolset and assist in designing a framework that best
supports the build management demands.
2. Application Deployment Activities
i. Analyze and document applications, systems and unique processes
required for deployment activities.
ii. Facilitate deployment planning activities with development,
technical services and testing, document and communicate plan with all
parties involved prior, during and post deployment.
iii. Lead deployment activities, document actual results vs. planned
and recommend future adjustments to streamline deployment processes
iv. Track changes in source code, configuration and database changes
across deployment builds.
3. Soft Skills
i. Must be comfortable in leading groups in deployment activities
ii. Provide consistent communication using any/all enterprise resource
tools
iii. Ability to organize multiple demands is critical as there are
many moving parts, priorities and timelines involved at any given
point in time.
