*Job Title: Joint Venture Accounting
Location: SAN ANTONIO TX
Duration: 2yrs 4 Months
Responsibilities:*
"The Joint Venture Accounting position will work closely with other joint
venture accountants and operations personnel. Primary responsibility will
be to perform joint venture accounting for operated and non-operated US
joint ventures including the monthly close processes in SAP.
*
RESPONSIBILITIES: *
Prepares cash calls and joint interest billings for company operated
ventures
Processes cash calls and joint interest billings for non-operated ventures
Performs monthly variance analysis for income statement and balance sheet
Set-ups and maintains joint operating agreements and joint ventures in SAP
Set-ups and maintains joint venture details for AFE’s
Performs monthly close activities including: allocations, overhead, cutback
Monitors and supports production handling agreements
Payout calculations
Advises/liaise with other joint venture personnel
Responds to customer inquiries and reconcile receivable accounts
Assures compliance with Sarbanes Oxley controls/documentation and support
testing
Works with land administration to resolve joint venture issues
*Basic Qualifications*
Minimum 10 years Oil & Gas Accounting experience
Minimum 10 Years Joint Venture experience
Minimum 5 years of SAP and MS experience
Bachelor's Degree or 4 years of work experience

Preferred Qualifications *
SAP BI, HFM, JIB Link experience
*Professional Skill Quallications *
Strong analytical and communication skills
Ability to achieve job requirements with minimal supervision
Ability to work independently or as a team member when required
Ability to lead and influence others to maximize effectiveness "
