Java Software Test Engineer to be part of an established international team
developing software solutions for the Retail Marketplace. The individual
will be part of a team developing a software product that will be built
using Rich Internet Application (RIA) technologies.
Candidate must be able to work within an agile development team with
minimal guidance. Candidate should be self-motivated with strong technical
skills and testing experience. Also the ability to interpret design specs,
write and execute test scenarios, perform problem determination, document
and verify defects. This includes implementing test automation strategies
to maximize productivity and quality. The candidate should have excellent
verbal and written communication skills and be a team player.
*Responsibilities:*
• Review design documents
• Create test cases from the design documents
• Provide estimates for time to complete test case creation & execution
• Execute Software Testing (Functional and System level testing)
• Hardware and Software environment setup
• Communicate test status to team leads and project managers
*Required Skills and Experience:*
• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
• Experience testing in a Java/J2EE/OO and web server solutions
• Experience developing software utilizing Agile development processes
• Automated testing (preferably with Selenium)
*Preferred skills:*
• Java programming skills
• 4690 OS Skills
• Web technologies (HTML, HTTP, Apache Spring, Camel, XML/JSON, Maven,
ActiveMQ)
• Retail application knowledge
• * Point of Sale test experience*
• Experience with POSBC
