Job Title: *Linux Server Engineer operations experience (Must)*
Location: Metro Detroit, MI
Duration: 24+ months
Deadline: ASAP
Visa : *GC , US Citizen Only *
*We have a need to fill this role ASAP!! Very hot!! The last 2 guys we
had phone interviews with today had basic Linux and no operations
experience or didn’t want to do operations work.*
*Prefer local Michigan candidate if possible!!!! Will look at out of state
people as well if they have 10/10 communication skills.*

*Required:*
- Linux Servers – RedHat RHEL 2 through 6
- Dell Hardware – PowerEdge server line
- Windows Clients – XP through Windows 7
- Backup – Netbackup 6, 7, Vaulting and off-site tape rotation , Veeam
(Vmware backups)
- Ability to work from a Ticket Queue system
- Able to lift up 75 pounds
- Solid understanding of SOX framework and Audits
*Desired:*
- Windows Servers – 2K through 2K12
- SAN/NAS – EMC CX600 / NS480, Celerra, Clariion. Fundamentals of
attaching storage to a server
- VMware – 3.5 and vSphere 4 and 5
- Citrix – XP through Xenapp 6.5
- Knowledge of using a DRAC/RILO
- Understand basic databases (Oracle, SQL)
- Worked with Trading Applications (Endur, GTM, Aligne, Uplan,LIM,Zema)
- Tibco
- Weblogic
- Solid understanding of networking architecture – switches, routers,
fiber, DMZ, multicasting
- System monitoring – Uptime
- Work independently within a Team frame work, self-motivated, hard
worker, minimal direction, goal and project focused
- Sometimes irregular work hours, on-call, must be willing for weekend
and after hours work.
- Telephony – IPC, Etrali, NICE call recording, Avaya / Lucent phone
systems
- Maintaining and running a Data Center, Rack servers, run
cabling/power, monitor cooling, keeping a stock inventory, tools, creating
processes
- Asset Management
- Work with Vendors and Purchasing Hardware/Software
- Understand Disaster Recovery and Emergency Procedures
- Working with Print servers and printers in complex environment
