*Title: L2 Network Engineer Location: Framingham, MA 01701(LOCAL ONLY OR
NEARBY)Hours: 8-5 and must be willing to be on call rotations every 6 weeks
or so for one whole weekDuration: 1yr + possible extensions *
Must:
- 3-6 Years of Network Engineer experience in a Large-scale inter-Network
environment (L2/L3 troubleshooting and support)
- Proficiency with Cisco routing and switching
- Proficiency with BGP, OSPF, MPLS and MetroEthernet
- Previous experience with load balancing (preferable F5 but Cisco CSS or
ACE load balancers are fine too)
- Experience with administration, implementation and troubleshooting of
Juniper Firewall or Checkpoint firewalls
- Experience with WAN and LAN networking technologies
- Demonstrated ability to lead medium to large scale network implementation
projects
Plus:
-Bachelor’s Degree
-Experience with Cisco and Avaya VoIP solutions preferred
-Cisco Certification
Day to Day:
One of our large pharmaceutical clients is looking for a Level 2 Network
Engineer to provide the analysis of their network to keep up with the
changing needs of the organization. This Network engineer will be
responsible for implementation and support of Network core routing and
switching infrastructure, Remote Access, B2B VPN, and security services
Application Load Balancing Wireless LAN infrastructure. Some of their day
to day work will include providing tier 3 support and expert
troubleshooting; participating in the implementation and maintenance of new
network products or services; working with contractors, vendors and other
Engineers on medium and large-scale network infrastructure projects;
recommending enhancements to existing networking systems and
infrastructure; Documenting, implementing and maintaining processes and
procedures related to network service delivery via standards, policies and
procedures; Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance, inventory, and
security measures associated with the company’s data network and Project
managing medium size network related projects
