* PS Technical Report AnalystNorth Carolina 3-4 monthsStart ASAP*
The technical report analyst will be responsible for understanding
reporting requirements and for using various reporting tools including PS
Query, XMLP, SQR, App Engine, nVision and Crystal in a university
environment.
*Duties:*
Understand report requirements and code reports in PSQuery, XMLP, App
Engine. Modify existing reports using SQR and Crystal
Track and communicate report development issues and progress to team leads
Respond to client questions concerning reports, and assist colleagues with
computer or software related questions
Fix any defects and performance problems discovered in testing
Meet milestones and related effort/time commitments for assigned
deliverables and provide work status, including estimated-time-to-complete
(ETC) and actuals
*Qualifications:*
Expert understanding of the tables and fields used in GL, KK, Grants,
Projects, AM, AR/BI and/or PO/ePro/AP
Functional knowledge in at least three of the following - GL, KK, Grants,
Projects, AM, AR/BI and/or PO/ePro/AP in a university environment
Expert understanding of XMLP, PSQuery, App Engine and nVision
Nice to have - knowledge of Payroll, Benefits, Core HR and Training process
and tables
The ideal candidate will be a problem-solver, able to create report
requirements by translating legacy reporting needs into future state
business processes
Candidate must demonstrate strong attention to detail and data validation
skills
Must be comfortable with multi-tasking and shifting gears while maintaining
accuracy and timeliness in all tasks
Ability to foresee and develop reports to support the current and future
business needs and decisions of the shared services organization
*Desired Skills include:*
Undergraduate Degree in business or computer science
Good communication skills
PeopleSoft 9.1, tools release 8.53
Knowledge of Connected Query and Query DrillDown strategy and design
Demonstrated knowledge of the following reporting tools. Required - PS
Query, XMLP and SQR
Experience with Report Bursting
Nice to have - App Engine, nVision and Crystal
Knowledge of Excel, Word, PPT and Access
Tree design and maintenance
