*The Team’s Focus:*
The Corporate Tax department provides executive management and shareholders
with the comfort that TransUnion’s corporate taxes are minimized by timely
analyzing current legislation and maintaining up to date multinational
government tax accounting and compliance responsibilities. Working directly
with executives and their financial teams, the team is responsible for
reporting the accounting for income taxes under ASC 740, preparing and
filing TransUnion’s annual consolidated Form 1120 income tax return and
executing on strategic tax planning initiatives. Associates in this
fast-paced work environment don’t just prepare and file tax returns; they
understand the company’s tax positions and work hard to improve processes
that better the overall financial reporting to key stakeholders. Recently,
the team successfully implemented OneSource Income Tax Return Software that
compliments their OneSource Tax Provision Software to ensure best practice
efficiencies in using tax reporting software. Day in, day out, the
Corporate Tax department makes highly valued and visible contributions to
the business and influences senior management and the larger finance group
in making tax decisions.
*Your contribution:*
PeopleSoft Financial Systems teams are implementing a web based Fixed Asset
Software (called Bloomberg BNA) during Q3 through Q4 2015. Once
implemented, it will hold TransUnion’s U.S. GAAP and U.S. Tax fixed assets
such that TransUnion’s current People Soft Asset Management Software will
provide monthly exports of its Fixed Asset details to the Bloomberg BNA
Software so U.S. Tax Fixed Assets will be computed and reported on through
the Bloomberg BNA Software rather than PeopleSoft Asset Management
Software.
*You will drive solutions to delivery by:*
· Informing all resources about the proposed solution
· Defining roles of all parties involved
· Assigning and delegating milestones and timelines
· Liaising with the client and internal resources to eliminate
obstacles
· Ensuring a quality solution is delivered on time matching the
expectations of the customer.
*This process includes actions such as:*
· Defining project scope and business requirements
· Producing estimates
· Creating project plans
· Ensuring all documentation is accurate and thorough
· Coordinating handoffs between all appropriate internal and
external departments
· Actively and regularly communicate with all internal and external
parties involved in the project (client, internal resources, and Sr.
Management) about status, risk, issues and changes throughout a solution
delivery
· Adhere to TransUnion’s solution development lifecycle ensuring
all deliverables are met within established processes and guidelines
· Monitor and track project progression to ensure TransUnion and
client-defined solution expectations are met (milestones, scope of project,
timeliness of deliverables, quality of delivery, functional requirements
met, budget constraints, etc.)
*Coordinate and lead project meetings to include:*
· Defining and managing to a set agenda
· Summarizing meeting results in writing to internal and external
clients
· Clearly identifying owners and timelines for follow-up items
· Tracking outstanding action items resulting from project meetings
· Participate in detailed exchanges with client representatives to
clarify all details of business objectives and requirements. This requires
the Consultant to both probe the customer for specifics about the solution
and speak to the technical capabilities and/or limitations of the product
· Establish mutually agreed upon measurements of success as
indicators of project performance and delivery (scope of project,
timeliness of deliverables, quality of delivery, functional requirements
met, budget constraints, etc.)
· Consult with existing customers to identify additional growth
opportunities for solution delivery
· Assist with transition of technical support to
post-implementation support group to ensure project and/or products are
supported effectively. Provide direct support and communications on
customer issues as necessary when not fully transitioned to the support
departments
· Maintain awareness of all outstanding customer post-delivery
issues and provide status to stakeholders as necessary
· Define metrics and measure success factors for internal and
external projects
· Mentor less experienced project management associates on product
management tools, systems, processes, products and techniques to ensure
development and improvement of skills to meet departmental standards
· May setup, execute, test and deliver standard and/or key
products, jobs and processes to customers in a timely manner ensuring that
appropriate standards are followed and customer needs are met
*What you’ll bring: *
· Six or more years of business experience, three or more years of
project management experience independently managing the entire life cycle
of a project and three or more years of direct customer interaction
experience
· A four-year college degree or comparable industry experience.
Master’s degree a plus
· Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus
· Experience managing multiple, complex projects required
· Experience writing detailed business requirements and Statement
of Work
· Excellent analytical skills and proven ability to identify
technology challenges and pose effective solutions
· Excellent communications skills required; strong presentation
skills desired
· Demonstrated flexibility in handling and reacting to change and
adversity
· Strong listening skills, ability to assess and understand
customers’ needs
· Ability to prioritize workload, time manage workday effectively,
multi-task and work on a team comprised of a variety of personalities
· Proficient PC skills including MS Word, Excel, Access and ability
to use planning and tracking tools such as Microsoft Project and Clarity
· Proven experience ensuring compliance to business requirements
· Credit or financial background preferred; experience in
transaction based industry considered
· Experience working in or with a Tax Department a plus
· PeopleSoft and Bloomberg BNA software experience a plus
