They must have good windows and some VMware as well as the Linux
The Infrastructure Administrator is a key member of the team responsible
for managing the server infrastructure used by the Research Department;
maintaining and optimizing the performance, reliability & scalability and
driving the creation of new platform architectures to support our evolving
application stack. This position requires deep technical skills, extensive
relevant experience and strong communication skills. A successful
candidate will be capable of managing multiple streams of project execution
and holding external service providers accountable.
Responsibilities include:
· Reliable administration of production environments by ensuring
their integrity and providing ongoing L3 support for incidents and change
requests**
· Proactively maintaining the health of Research’s Windows and
Linux Server infrastructures, including deployment of patches and upgrades**
· Architecting and building the infrastructure for new
transformative applications**
· Maintaining DR/BCP capabilities for Research server infrastructure
**
Position Requirements:**
• 3+ years of enterprise infrastructure technology experience in high
security environments, including both Windows and Linux server
administration
• Expertise in the use of scripting languages to automate deployment,
configuration, and administration
• Expertise in multi-tier performance analysis and tuning
• Experience with various infrastructure architectures and
capabilities, including grid/cloud computing, storage management, and
virtualization
• Experience coordinating external service providers to achieve goals
• Experience implementing business continuity plans
• Optional: Experience with network administration
• Optional: Experience developing business continuity plans
• Optional: Experience in software development, particularly in
client server systems and user authentication services
• Outstanding candidates will also possess the organizational skills
to follow through on substantial projects
