*Description:*
· Perform Configuration management activities using various
tools: *Clear
Case, PVCS and HERMES* for supporting releases in multiple regions.
· Manage and monitor check-ins, checkouts, configuration builds,
version labeling and branching.
· Maintain Shell Scripts for Builds, Releases, Locks, PVCS Builder,
Check-ins, Branching and Version Labeling.
· Execute and debug build scripts of various releases within *TRIMS*
· Refresh the build environments with latest version control sources
and generating the executables.
· Liaison with software developers: required on daily basis to
coordinate with developers on matters related to code check-ins, change
tracking, build failures and communicating results of code analysis.
· Liaison with quality assurance: SIT / QC / quality assurance group
receives builds generated by configuration managers. Configuration managers
have to build a liaison with quality teams on improving test coverage of
automated tests and staging releases as they are tested by qa.
· Prepare release notes for deployment of executables in SIT, UAT
and Production environment.
· Raise Virtual Change Request for Change forms for TRIMS and
getting them approved by Change Control Management. Closing out any raised
Issue Records in the course of approval.
· Identify changes and improvements in process with respect to
organization standards and process.
· Attend Daily Release calls with the Clients.
