Looking for Solaris/ Linux admin. Good experience in *Solaris zones,
containers, zfs, cloning and migrating of zones*. Good hands on experience
on *Veriatas volume manger, Veritas cluster and Veritas netbackup*. Need to
support 500 plus Solaris and 1500 Linux production boxes. Required *good
troubleshooting, analytical and production support skills*. Monitoring (*
Nagios*) and troubleshooting issues related to hardware and software. Should
have good experience in writing *Shell and Perl scripts*. *Netapp filer
and load balancer* (F5 and netscaler) knowledge is required. *SAN* knowledge
is a plus. Knowledge in TCP/IP networking is required. Need to be very
flexible and easily adoptable to new environments or technologies. Need to
co-ordinate with application teams and other teams to resolve the
outstanding issues. Need to coordinate with external vendors for hardware
replacement. Need to be 24/7 on-call on rotational schedule.
Required skills: -
*NFS, DNS, User management, Security management, Patch and Package
management, Process management, LVMs, Performance management, Live upgrade,
Apache, VCS installation and configuration. Veritas VM creating disk groups,
adding disk to disk groups, increasing the size of volumes etc. Solaris 10:-
Zpool creation, creating and configuring zones, zfs creation. Configuring
LDAP and troubleshooting the issues related to Ldap and Configuring IPMP*.
