If you are a quick on your feet Java developer who enjoys coding above all
else; thrive in small, agile, high-paced teams; have 5 to 8 years of
server-side development experience; a solid grasp of inter-process
communication methodologies and love dynamic, collaborative environments,
then we want to speak with you! As an application developer you would play
a major role in a massive re-engineering initiative. This role would
involve analysis, design and development of the business functions and
services associated with the Operational Data Storage architecture.
Qualifications:
Java server-side development experience
Solid understanding of programming principles, such as inter-process
communications in the distributed environment; understanding time and space
complexity of different collections and algorithms
Practical knowledge of production considerations, such as version control,
code libraries, source control systems, documentation, code reviews,
automation testing tools and methodology, and software release management
Good understanding of relational database concepts.
Experience with Spring framework.
Understanding of Web Applications development principles.
Practical knowledge of a scripting language, preferably Python.
Familiarity with different test automation techniques.
Strong knowledge of PL/SQL and experience with SQL optimization techniques.
Sun Java Certification is a plus.
Job requirements:
Working in a very collaborative environment, participate in all stages of
applications development process, including design, implementation, testing
and production support
Ability to solve problems. We expect you to be a solutions-oriented,
out-of-the-box thinker who frequently comes up with new and innovative ways
of doing things
Good communication skills are a must! You are expected to effectively
interact with both, technical and non-technical personnel. These skills
should encompass all facets of communication, including both written and
verbal contact.
