Seeking a qualified developer who will be responsible for designing and
developing new automation and J2EE applications. Additional
responsibilities include supporting and enhancing existing automation and
J2EE applications. Candidate is required to be a self-starter with good
communication skills who is comfortable working in a fast-paced agile
environment and who can work independently with minimal guidance.
Candidate will be responsible for design, implementation and enhancement of
software solutions as well as assisting with testing, debugging and
installing defined software components if needed.
Core Responsibilities
- Develops new software applications, and supports current applications.
- Handles development tasks in all software tiers including user interface,
web service, business logic, integration, and database.
- Analyzes and determines integration needs.
- Creates and evaluates software designs, test results and technical
manuals.
- Creates and reviews technical design documentation.
- Works with Quality Assurance team to confirm that applications fit
specification and technical requirements.
- Works with Database Administrators and Architects to confirm that
database elements meet performance and storage requirements
- Displays knowledge of engineering methodologies, concepts, skills, and
their application in the area of specified engineering specialty.
- Displays knowledge of, and ability to apply, process design and redesign
skills.
- Displays in-depth knowledge of, and ability to apply, project management
skills.
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of
significance.
*Required Experience:*
7+ years software development experience
2+ years Puppet experience
3+ years Java experience
3+ years J2EE experience
3+ years linux experience
1+ years Oracle database experience including stored functions/procedures
and triggers
1+ years WebLogic 11 or later
Experience using configuration management tools including GIT
Experience using build tools including maven
Experience with Agile methodology
Experience with Jenkins, Hudson or Cruise Control
Experience with Artifactory
Desired Experience:
Experience with Ansible, Salt or Chef
Experience with Python
Experience with Cloud technologies
Experience with NoSQL databases
Experience with Hadoop
Experience with developing REST or SOAP Web Services
Experience with WebLogic clustering
Experience with Jenkins
Experience with unit testing frameworks such as JUnit
Experience with Eclipse
