*Cisco Release Engineer/ Manager *

*Location:  Phoenix, AZ*

*Duration : 2 years*


*Responsibilities*:
•Establish and enforce the processes and procedures to provide efficient
repeatable mechanisms for onboarding projects, keeping up with feature
updates and deploying Cisco device and OS releases to the production
environments. Actively influence program management, development, testing,
and operations on these processes.
•Work with internal cross-functional and cross-organizational teams to
prioritize and scope scheduled releases and maintenance activity.
•Represent and act as liaison for the Release Management and Operations
teams in discussions regarding release timing, process, and strategy with
various groups including other release teams across business units and
senior management.
•Create and communicate detailed project plans, coordinate implementation
processes, including progress tracking, status and metric reporting, and
facilitate all release meetings for Development, IT and Operations driven
projects.
•Drive deliverables with Development, Test and IT to ensure timely delivery
of all required components and data points to facilitate the build and
deployment process.
•Interact and evaluate new technologies for beta testing, design, and
implementation of various solutions .
•Ensure on time and high quality deliverables from the project teams as
input to the release process including but not limited to architecture
diagrams, capacity and sizing, monitoring requirements, and operational
standards and operational playbooks/guides.
•Coordinate and participate in regular post-implementation reviews and
present release metrics in order to assist with the evaluation of release
quality
•Provide guidance towards process improvement efforts and the integration
with other core processes such as Change Management, Problem Management and
Incident Management.
•Provide and act as subject matter expert driving post mortem analysis and
resulting findings for production outages and revenue effecting events when
necessary.

*Qualifications*:
•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, IT, engineering or equivalent
demonstrated IT work experience
•5 + years of experience in a Cisco Network Engineering role with
documented recent success in a release/configuration management capacity
•2-3 + years’ experience organizing, directing, and managing activities for
building and maintaining software releases for their promotion to the
production environment.
•*Proven hands-on IT Project Management experience with track record for
managing complex infrastructure or software projects
* Technical individual with working knowledge of Cisco operating systems
and devices
•Strong knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile
methodology
•Understanding of data center infrastructure components (e.g. web servers,
relational database servers, operating systems, firewalls, load balancers,
monitoring tools, virtualization, switches, and circuits)
•Ability to define, document , and track all required technical project
tasks
•Strong interpersonal, presentation and customer service skills
•Capable of coordinating work activities over multiple organizations,
including 3rd party vendors
•Detail-oriented with proven problem solving, organizational, and
interpersonal communication skills
• •Proficiency with Microsoft Office tool suite and MS Project
