General:
· 3-10+ years’ experience in the development of computer software
and significant experience in Java.
· Worked in Distributed computing software development
· Loves to write code, fast learner of new technologies, agile
attitude, not afraid of taking educated risks into new domains.
· Design skills and the ability to write clear software design
documents.
· Good understanding of high performance, scalable and distributed
systems.
· Good communication skills and the ability to thrive in a
fast-paced development team.
Primary Skills
· Distributed computing: Apache Storm, Apache Spark, Apache Samza
· Distributed queue: Apache Kafka
· Distributed datastore: Apache ZooKeeper
· Knowledge at some of those: Spring framework, High Performance,
Concurrency, NIO, DirectBuffers, JVM tuning, JProfiler)
Nice to Have:
·*Distributeddatabase: *
OrientDB/InfluxDB/Druid/Redis/MongoDB/Cassandra/Postgres
· Distributed schedulers: Mesos, Kubernetes
· Text indexing: ElasticSearch, LogStash, Fluentd, Apache Flume,
Kibana
· Other: Apache HTTPd/Tomcat, HAProxy/Nginx, Serf
· Distributed file-systems (Ceph, Lustre, HDFS, XtreemFS, etc.)
· Gradle, Ansible, Vagrant, Jenkins, Ubuntu Juju
· Cross-language message serialization and RPC: (Thrift /
PhotoBuffers / MessagePack / Avro)
· Grafana, Graphite, d3.js, AngularJS
