==== Description: ====
cryptsetup.

User space utility used in conjunction with the device mapper subsystem of
the Linux kernel. cryptsetup supports the process of setting up mappings for
virtual real-time encrypted disks. It processes user passphrases and hands
processed keys to the in-kernel module dm-crypt.
It supports the key management scheme LUKS, a meta-data standard for bulk
hard disk encryption.

cryptsetup in its current form is available from http://luks.endorphin.org/

It ships per default with Debian, Ubuntu, Gentoo, Suse. The Gnome HAL is able
to detect LUKS volumes and mount it automatically (provided cryptsetup is
installed and the user entered the right passphrase)

==== Other Software Required: ====
device-mapper library -- http://sources.redhat.com/dm/
popt library -- http://www.rpm.org/
libgcrypt library -- GNU Privacy Guard
UUID library -- e2fsprogs
