Is it safe to install X11's upgrades yet?

Hi All, I am using EPEL's nVidia packages. The X11 updates play havoc with them. There three X11 updates I have been putting off. If I am careful to update EPEL's nVidia drivers first, is it safe to install the X11 updates, yet? Many thanks, -T -- ~~
