Chris, I'm enjoying 5.3 on a dual processor (x dual core) Dell--uses Xeon processors. It's been up for 174 days--work on the incoming power interrupted it last autumn. Seems pretty solid--would imagine that other Xeon or core i7 should be equally stable. Clint -- Clint Bowman

I do not have any specific experiences with new hardware, that is tested with SL 5, but I would recommend, that you could give any RHEL 5- compatible computer a try. For example those HP-Workstations are mentioned as RHEL 5 compatible: HP Z800 Workstation (KK564ET)

Hello, I've some problems mounting some folders, located on NAS-Devices. One is a old freecom fsg-3, the other one is a newer Netgear Duo. When I'm mounting the folders into a mountpoint in my user-folder using fstab, i can open, delete, copy or rename files using nautilus without any proplems
