First: update to release 6.5 for the server, if you can, just to avoid
known bugs.
Second: review whether security tools like SElinux or iptables are
possibly interfering with your system. You might turn them off,

I have a strange problem. I have a little java app that displays an
analog clock with a few weird additions like GPS time. It's been
working for years. A recent update or the last switch to DST has it
return the time zone as GMT-08:00 instead of PDT.
