I had trouble installing SL6, as during install to hdd phase, it continually thought , that /dev/sdb1 , was my hdd, and I've never seen that before. I installed SL6 livecd to USB via fedora's creator app, but clearly it doesn't work correctly for SL(6). I got it worked properly with image writer

Hi, The fedora usb creator does not seem to work with SL, because during the install phase to hdd, it thought that sdb1 was my main hdd, showing it as the install path for partitioning and sdb1 for mounting. I did however, get it working fine with imagewriter. Just a fyi thx nl

usb 2 support

Hi has anyone managed to get usb 2 support working on sl 6. I managed to get qemu-kvm-0.15.0-3.el6.x86_64 build and libvirt-0.9.4-1.el6.x86_64 , installed and working normal. I now just need usb 2 support to work. The one vm guest runs windows 7. usb passthrough works for different linux

Failed to install xguest when installing sl6.1 x64

Hello, I tried to install sl6.1 x64 with the Install DVD's(SL-61-x86_64-2011-07- 27-Everything-DVD1.iso and -DVD2.iso), and it was failed to install xguest- 1.0.9-2.el6.noarch package and the installation procedure terminated. Both the sha1sum and sha256sum check of the downloaded ISO images

During the Installion Type screen, I just selected the software development workstation and customize the software selection now, and did not pick any repository other than the one selected by default. Does the issue related to certain customized software package?

Finally, as your suggestion, I managed to install the system by not selecting the xguest-1.0.9-2.el6.noarch package in the desktop section. Thanks!
