I also post in five other SF forums and, in those as well, I found myself the
lone naysayer regarding this movie. I don't want it thought that anyone in this
group caused me any pain. None of you did. I gave this to myself knowingly.

I have to admit I agree with this article. While the film was a lot of fun to
watch and the actors all looked terrific as younger versions of the original
cast, the substance was gone. And this is from a Trekker that was hooked from
the very first episode way back in 196

I pretty much knew that I was going to catch heck for my stand against this,
back from the day I first heard this was in the pipe. And you'll never know the
toll it's taken on me emotionally. I don't discuss the subject anymore.
