Sequel reportedly in the works for comic-to-film.

November 6, 2008 - It looks like the town of Barrow, Alaska will once again
be under siege by vampires.

that it was revealed at this week's American Film Market in Los Angeles that
"Mandate Pictures is working on a sequel to 30 Days of Night
<http://movies.ign.com/objects/486/486900.html> , and has Steve Niles
<http://stars.ign.com/objects/966/966734.html>  and Ben Ketai listed as
current writers." 

The site says the sequel will revolve around the character of Stella
(portrayed in the 2007 film by Melissa George) who is out for revenge
against the vampires that attacked her town. 

Bloody Disgusting  <http://www.bloody-disgusting.com/news/12436> previously
claimed that the sequel might be a direct-to-DVD/Blu-ray production rather
than a theatrical release but that no decision has been made yet.
