Eragon was on satellite Saturday morning so, having nothing better to do, I watched it. Watching the first five minutes I could tell why it hadn't done better in American where it stalled at $75 million (I was shocked to see it had done $249,331,536 worldwide). It is too dank, dark and medievally

i hear you! I'm not a fan of gore, especially things like people having their skin peeled. indeed, were this just a horror film with that type of stuff featured prominently, i wouldn't watch it. but all the scifi elements intertwined with it suck me in. It's like "Alien" in some ways, just a bit
