Here where I live in Metro Atlanta, I have four different theaters I frequent.
All of them have lifeforms that can technically be called ushers. None of them
venture farther into the viewing theater than the door.

I've been on both sides of this equation and when asked nicely, I've

Yeah, we have ushers too. They carry around these short orange light
saber things. More like the F-Lance from Andromeda though. They use it
to see why they walk around in the dark checking up on people. It
makes me giggle everytime I see them.

Yeah, it's very frustrating. And this is unscientific and
stereotyped as hell, but I often note that it's us who
are most often on the phones--at least, where I go to the
movies. (which for those in the know, is either the Regal
24 on the 85 access road, or the Atlantic Station theatre).
