In order to pass surfaces around, I need to be able to serialize them (as only scalars can be in shared variables). Been a while since I've Perl'd, but doesn't it make more sense to pass a reference around? or to have an imagemanager that your threads can query? sorry but I didn't read your entir

i have an even older one mirrored here http://patrickavella.com/rpg/SDL_Perl-1.19.1.win32.1.exe I haven't touched any perl or payed attention to this list in a long time. I'm guessing 2.0 still doesn't like windoze then? Well, if there is ever a windows 2.0 release (like the 1.20 release) be sure

This is exactly the shortcomings (for me) of sdlperl. sdlperl subsystems (mixer, image, ttf, etc) should be independent of each other. If sdl_mixer was independent, it would be as simple as use SDL_Mixer; on the topic of cross platform, SDL_Mixer refuses to play midi's on a macOSx for me... so

Irrlicht is a good engine. I've toyed around with it and loaded some maps and models and all that good stuff, and it really is a fast, stable, and moderately nice looking engine. It's about as easy to use as SDL as well. But now you get into the realm of implementations. It might make sense for

Just two cents, but David mentioned uploading sdlperl2.0 once he was back in civilization. I'm not sure how long of a time he was referring, but maybe it would make sense to wait until you can get your hands on it? You've been doing an amazing amount of work on sdlperl and I'd hate to see your w

Before I nitpick the tutorial, I just want to make a wish about future versions of sdlperl that are closely related to the ability to distribute your apps. The way sdlperl is set up (Or at least used to be, i haven't made any new downloads yet), you have to have ALL of the additional .dlls for
