Hey List
Well I'm a bit late with this, but the Toronto show
was absoloutely amazing. Not only did that happen to be my first time
seeing Sunny Day, it was also my first REAL concert (sucky high-school bands
don't count). Lance was right when he said there could have been some sort
of seating. I wound up standing near the sound-board thingy the whole time
and needless to say my feet got tired afterwards. I guess thats how some
people like to go to concerts anyway. Their best song was probably 8 or
Guitar and Video Games, but they were all good. I was disappointed that I
wasn't able to get TRT before the show (you may remember my incident with HMV
and importing the damn CD... more on that in a sec) so many of the songs I
hadn't heard before. It was all very good though. Dan is most
amusing to watch... and you may be interested to hear that my girlfriend thinks
he's cute (I remember a post saying that some girls thought Jeremy and Will were
cute, but not Dan). I was very impressed with No Knife and I think that
I'm going to try to find one of their CD's up here. Could someone please
post/send me the setlist from the show, because I didn't know the names of the
new songs they played.
As for The Rising Tide, I did finally pick it up
(at the show of course) and it was a very good price (less than importing from
stupid HMV). I found the release information for the new record in Canada
from Timebomb. It is being released on 7/20 in Canada so anyone who is
still waiting will have to wait a bit longer. My first reactions to the
album are fairly good, though there are a couple somewhat weak songs.
Snibe definately stands out, but I'm not sure they played it at the show (I
didn't recognize it). Again, I'd like the setlist to check that
out.
I just have one more thing on my mind that I'd like
to ask everyone. You all know about the conflict between Will and Dave
Grohl from Foo Fighters and that seems to create an awfully negative image of
the Foo Fighters on this list. I was a Foo Fighters fan first, and I was
wondering if there is anyone else like me on here? I'm I at a minority
here? I hope you don't hate me! :-) Anyways... have a good day
