Been searching for a little bit and can't seem to find a solution to one
minor problem we are having. We would like to have a login banner displayed
on our workstations running various versions of Solaris. We have already
setup banners that get displayed for telnet/rlogin/ftp, but
We've done some nice things with Big Brother and Big Sister (Big Brother
clone). Big Brother has a commercial licensing requirement, but I believe
Big Sister is free. They are web-based, and pretty configurable.

You might want to look at something like OpenBSD for your Firewall. Its
pretty secure, and pretty simple to use. Also, any Unix-based OS will handle
routing out of the box. I think Windows offers something, but I'm not very
familiary with Windows.
