Greetings everyone, I would like to prevent BOT attacks on my web server
stopping DOS before these attacks shutdown my web server.
Is there anyway to prevent this from happening? I would also like to
prevent BOTS like the ones that the FBI uses from sucking up resources, DOS
attacking, etc. I

network as User X, so this is what I tried.
Both of us were on the same cable company's network.
I asked him for his IP, subnet mask
Pinged for an available IP in his subnet
Assigned my IP statically to the available IP
