One of our marketers is using an application from MarketWave called "HitList" to analyze our web logs, and I'm seeing something strange for it - while it runs, for every log entry that it analyzes, the machine then tries to make a connection to port 137 on that particular IP address. I searched google's web and usenet engines for other references to that behavior, but couldn't find any. Has anyone else seen similar behavior from that program?
I did scan the machine for virii with the latest DAT files from McAffee, so I'm at least somewhat confident that it isn't from a virus or trojan, that it is an intended "feature" of the program, but I'd like to make sure before I start calling MarketWave.... steve
