Are you looking for a 5 Gigabit port firewall or do you need a 5 Gig throughput ? The firewall that I use gives me the following and is better in performance and features than the Firewall I, Netscreen.I have used both these products and found Netscreen to be good for small/medium business requirement.
The Zeus 8000 gives the following:- Stateful inspection up to 8 Gbps 100,000 new connections per second Up to 8,000,000 concurrent flows Special protocol handlers for over 160 applications HA. Hi, i'have the following architecture: Catalyst6000 Catalyst6000 | \ / | | \ / | | \/ | | /\ | Gigabit | / \ | | / \ | | / \ | Catalyst6000 Catalyst6000 +++++++ ServerFarm +++++++ I'm going to protect the ServerFarm, and i want to guarantee High Availability, Throughput The first solution that i thought was Catalyst6000 Catalyst6000 | \ / | | / \ | | / \ | Gigabit | / \ | | / \ | FIREWALL--RRP-- FIREWALL (Redundancy protocol in Gigabit!!) | \ /| | \ / | | \ / | Gigabit | \ / | | \ | | / \ | | / \ | Catalyst6000 Catalyst6000 +++++++ ServerFarm +++++++ In the above architecture all link ar active, one Firewall is active. I need a firewall with 5 Gigabit Ports, i have to manage the balancing (i need a firewall thath support ISL or other protocol??.) Or the simple way is Catalyst6000 Catalyst6000 | | | | | | Gigabit | | | | FIREWALL--RRP-- FIREWALL (Redundancy protocol in Gigabit!!) | | | | | | Gigabit | | | | | | | | Catalyst6000 Catalyst6000 +++++++ ServerFarm +++++++ I'm now think about architecture and tecnology (Firewall-1 and Netsceeen) any suggestion?? Best Regards Carmelo
