Hey there,

I'm looking for a Wireless HUB/Switch with support for Internet (through
ADSL, this is NOT a PPPoE connection it's a VPN/PPTP), NAT, DMZ and LAN. The
point is, I hear a lot of bad things about some brands and just nothing at
all on some others. What I'm looking for is advice on which ones are good,
since security is an important aspect here. If anyone wants to advice on the
encryption of the traffic, please do so as well, as I heared the WEP
encryption itself can be cracked after 200 frames or something.

Ofcourse it will need to do some kind of portforwarding towards the DMZ and
NAT for the LAN.

                        --------- --------------
                            | |
                            | |

| DMZ |---------| WiFi HUB|-------| LAN |
--------- ----------- -------------

Hope this picture is a bit clear... The WiFi HUB should be connected to the
ADSL Router (Alcatel Speed Touch Home Pro) which in turn is connected to the
internet. The WiFi HUB will need to establish a VPN/PPTP connection with the
ADSL Router for this. On the other side of the WiFi HUB should be a DMZ and
a LAN. The DMZ preferably has another IP range than the LAN has for easier
set up of the firewall and a clearer separation of the 2. Within the LAN
will be an ISDN router towards the business for homeworking. It should not
be possible for the business LAN to access the Internet through the home
connection nor vice versa. The security aspect is really important here as
the home user is providing webservices which might easily be exploited and
the companies LAN needs to be secure.

In case anyone is familiar with it, the internet connection is one provided
by MXStream (KPN, Netherlands). They use a kinda odd way to setup internet
connections (VPN/PPTP, whereas this is normally PPPoE).

Kind regards,
