Hi Pat, sorry for the late reply -- this is the reason why we use mailing lists for relaying support more quickly ;-) I forward this message to the devel list now, hoping that we can get some PostgreSQL users together to achieve compatibility. The current SMW, both the 1.1.1 release and the SVN version, are reported to not work properly with Postgres, but I am sure that this is not really hard to fix. It would be great to have some people who can provide hints and are willing to test this on their machines.
