It seems there is general agreement on having the next big SMW release have
a semver.org complaint version number.
However there are two options that have been proposed and both work: 2.0
and 10.0. The former one increments the first number, changing it from the
meaningless 1 at the front
I vote for SMW 2.0, specifically with the idea that SMW 1.x works with
MW LTS 1.0 though I totally get that SMW 2.0 might/does/could work with
later versions of MW.

From a visibility point of view, jumping from 1.9 to 10 seems a bit
gigantic (even though you can argue the rational behind dropping 1
where 10 follows 9) but I'm more in favour of going with 2 instead.
