+1 for 10. SMW has a long history and the under-the-hood and process
improvements that the team has done justifies the large jump IMHO.

I think its worthwhile to move forward as Jeroen proposed. In the
semantic-mediawiki.org site development documentation, we should just
direct SMW developers to use GH as their primary repo, and Gerrit is
primarily just used for i18n.

A useful side-discussion still :)
And I guess, WikiData does solve the historical, scalability and storing
structured data issues.
Perhaps, the SMW community should just "jump on it" - helping make WikiData
integration a reality? :)

I'm with David in Camp 3, but there are also some things i'd like to bring
up for discussion while the group is considering a new store:

What about making it a hybrid solution? Mongo for entity/page details, a graph

Mongo is great for scalability and as a KV store(maybe you can even store docs
as JSON-LD), but doesn't have the querying power of a graph DB or RDBMS. Gra

Hi folks,
We're also salvaging Enhanced Retrieval from the SMW+ project and upgrading
Solr to the latest version to take advantage of Solr geospatial support.
We aim to give it back to the community before SMWCon Fall 2013.

Hi Jeroen,
I actually played around with the Maps 3.x and found it was going through major
refactoring. And since NYCpedia is heavily dependent on polygons and there was
already a pending auto-centering patch which we sorely needed, we decided to go
with 2.x for now.
We realize this will compl
Hi All,
We're actually getting some work done on Maps v2.x right now which we hope
to "forwardport" to v3. Mostly polygon related stuff - smart labeling,
hover, additional layers, autocenter, etc.
During SMWCon, one attendee made a strong case for SMW being a great GIS

Woohoo!
This is a major coup! Hopefully, they're start using the semantic features
soon.
In NYC, we managed to get them to adopt SMW for nyc.gov/datastandards, but
the semantic features are not used at the moment.
Great stuff!

Hi Valerio,
I do know for a fact that HaloACL patches MW core directly to

Either upgrade to the latest SMW+, refresh MW, or reverse the the MW

Great stuff!!! The new logo and the site refresh should really help
with evangelization and increase adoption.
And speaking of evangelization, has the team considered setting up a

Hi folks,
I'm finally getting around to fixing SRF-Ploticus and adding some more
features based on an "official", work-related project we just started.
One requirement that the user has is to cache results. This SRF-

Ryan,
Thanks for this. As Markus mentioned, full disclosure may not have been the
preferred route, but the fault is all mine as I contributed the Ploticus
format.
I'm currently working on a whitelisted, prefab-only version of SRF-Ploticus.

Dan, For now, while we wait for a way to automatically enable all formats,
you can just do this in LocalSettings.php:

Hi Markus,
Just out of curiosity, what version of PHP did you use while profiling?
Going by Special:Version on semantic-mediawiki.org, it says

released Nov 2006, and the
