I certainly agree. Right now, about the only functionality I see in 
queries is comparison and sortation. Why shouldn't we have summation? 
While we're at it, I would like to see some elementary statistical 
functions, specifically:

* Average (Arithmetic mean)
* Median
* Mode
* Range
* Standard deviation

The above might perhaps require an additional extension. Here's another 
idea for an extension: a "query" that plots a graph.
