Hello, MediaWiki Semantic Wiki community I just wanted to announce that the metavidWiki project is now in open beta: http://metavid.ucsc.edu/blog/2008/03/13/metavidwiki-open-beta/
It makes heavy use of the Semantic Wiki extension. Both for simple search gui where you can can visually construct queries / video feeds like: "show me clips of Hillary or Obama mentioning the word Iraq": http://tinyurl.com/yqy496 and for advanced search which re-writes results of the semantic search to enable inline media playback. Letting you do queries like show me /speeches by/ people who received more than 1 million in funding from interest group /attorney and law /http://tinyurl.com/2w4jz4 More advanced queries should be possible once as more & more metadata gets inserted. the software description page may look familiar ;) http://metavid.ucsc.edu/wiki/index.php/MetaVidWiki anyway check it out and let me know what you think.
