Just commit to HEAD (by the way, MAIN and HEAD are two different things).
If the code is compatible, commit to both branches. Otherwise, I'll try to
figure it out.
Steve, if you want a 2.2.1 bugfix, we'll run that out of branch_2_1_fcs. I
would not trust an immediate release from the merged cod
