pt the network config separate, under
/home/olpc/.sugar, i think. it took a while before gnome and
sugar wifi configs were synced.

on a couple of XOs that have been stripped for parts cause of one issue
or another. But that's another story.
removing the backlight LED is certainly an effective way of
reducing the brightness. :-)
