Following suggestions on this list, and a cookbook at
http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Ubuntu_On_OLPC_XO, I loaded kernel 2.6.31 from
olpc build 860 on top of XS-0.7.
After a few false starts, it comes up!
Now I'm confronted with the same problem I was having on the FitPc I was
trying to g

On a somewhat related note, I was building a firewall/serve box from an XO-1.5
running os883, and ran into the problem that the stock kernel doesn't have
enough of the netfilter options enabled (specifically
CONFIG_IP_NF_TARGET_REJECT)
to support either the firewall rule
